Kanger paid particular attention to the ergonomics of the KBOX Mini. It has been designed to fit extremely comfortably in your hand, making its use relaxed and enjoyable. Additionally, the improved KBOX Mini is brilliantly designed with a magnetic cutaway battery door, making battery replacement extremely convenient and effortless.
The new Kanger KBOX Mini is also more powerful than the original, offering 10 more watts of available power. Whereas the original KBOX Mini has a maximum wattage output of 40W, the KBOX that comes with the Subox Kit has a maximum output of 50W. The extra power certainly comes in handy, particularly when building ultra-low resistance atomizer coils.
Moreover, the Kanger KBOX Mini is a variable wattage device that can be adjusted from between 7W to an impressive 50W, in 0.1W increments. . This allows the KBOX Mini to be used with a wide range of atomizer resistances, from 0.3 ohms to 3.0 ohms. With this much flexibility, the KBOX Mini can be used with sub-ohm clearomizers and standard tanks alike. The improved dual-line OLED screen is much clearer than the original, and displays very useful information, including wattage, voltage, battery life, and ohms meter.
Kanger very smartly designed the KBOX Mini with a replaceable external 18650 battery (not included) rather than the internal battery that comes with many comparable box MODs. This is a great feature, as you can always carry a fully charged spare battery with you in the event the battery in use dies. This way, you will always have a functioning device. Unlike the original KBOX, the version that comes with the Subox Kit is a passthrough device, which allows it to be used while it is being charged. If you purchase a USB car charger, you can also simultaneously charge and vape while in the car—perfect for long drives and road trips.
This Kanger Subox Mini Kit also comes with the wildly popular and groundbreaking Subtank Mini Hybrid Tank. This revolutionary tank is the very first to combine a clearomizer and rebuildable atomizer into one unit. You can easily alternate between clearomizer mode, which uses pre-fabricated atomizer coils, and RBA mode, which allows you to build your own coils. Adding to the tremendous versatility of the Subtank Mini is the atomizer coil resistances available. You can use it as a sub-ohm clearomizer with the 0.5 ohms atomizer coils, or as a standard clearomizer with the 1.2 ohms heads.
The Kanger Subtank Mini is also constructed with a replaceable Pyrex glass tank. This is a very important feature, as glass is completely resistant to the acidity in e-liquids that can erode plastic tanks. The massive 4.5 ml e-liquid capacity of the Subtank Mini allows you to vape for a long time before needing to refill it. Additionally, the Kanger Subtank Mini is furnished with Kanger’s proprietary new dual airflow control valve, which allows you to control the amount of air that is drawn into the device when taking a hit. This new airflow valve allows for double the amount of ventilation than what is available with the original Subtank Mini.
As a Rebuildable Atomizer (RBA), the improved Kanger Subtank that is included in the Subox Kit has been redesigned with a much larger base with added room to build your coils. It also has larger wicking holes, making drawing in liquid substantially easier.
