Although functionally similar to past generations of the Stingray, this latest version has been aesthetically redesigned. One of the primary modifications to the appearance of the Stingray X is the dual-layer metal combination. JD Tech brilliantly fabricated the device with a copper inner layer, encased by a 304-grade stainless steel outer layer. The outer layer is then expertly painted in a glossy black finish, giving the Stingray X a magnificently dynamic look. This multi-layered construction allows for a three-tone appearance, as the more shallow engravings are stainless, while the deeper ones expose the richly colored copper metal.
The Stingray X is not only a masterpiece aesthetically, but also offers unparalleled functionality and performance—a trait that we have come to expect from JD Tech. All of the contacts of the device are made of silver-plated copper, giving it superior conductivity, as silver offers the highest level of conductivity than any other metal in the world. JD Tech brilliantly designed the Stingray X with a magnetic bottom fire button, virtually eliminating the possibility of it ever losing its repelling properties, as do spring-operated buttons. Using the law of magnetism, which functions in the same way as two magnets with equal poles, the MOD’s fire button naturally produces a repelling spring that will last for the life of the device. In addition, the fire button is equipped with a locking ring to prevent accidental firing—a very important safety feature.
